Brian Wallach is the executive vice president of provider networks where he oversees enterprise activity related to the development, maintenance, and operations of Healthcare Highways’ provider networks. Brian heads the team responsible for all operations including early concept strategic planning, contract negotiations, and network building through operations, provider servicing and maintenance.
Brian started is 30+ year career as a healthcare attorney in Houston. Finding the business side of healthcare more appealing than law, Brian pivoted and started building and managing provider networks for Sanus/NYLCare. Following a series of transactions related to the Sanus/NYLCare plan, where he enjoyed short tenures at both Aetna US Healthcare and BCBS of Texas, Brian joined Cigna Healthcare. Cigna positions included leading a large team responsible for managing 125,000+ providers across 22 states with medical spend exceeding $25 billion. Recognized as an innovator, he contracted Cigna's first ACO, played key roles in large acquisitions, and managed Cigna's national transplant network. The 16+ years at Cigna extended to his relocation to Belgium where he headed the international provider network for the company’s global healthcare division. In 2015, Oscar Health recruited Brian to launch its Texas operation.
Brian holds a juris doctor (JD) from the University of Houston Law Center, where he participated in a dual education fellowship with the University of Texas School of Public Health Law and Public Policy.
